Spicmacay convention implementation suggestions

नमस्कार 

Transport:

Secunderabad junction is biggest with 10 platforms but is under renovation so is operating with less capacity tham usual & some trains r diverted to charlapalli/ lingampalli

It will b great if ppl get down in the order of following preference:

1) The nearest railway station is shankarpally (station code SKP 24km ~ 45min by 🚗 🚌 🚐) but very few trains (like Rayalaseema express, Palnadu express etc) stop there


2) next nearest is lingampally railway station (station code LPI ~34km ~70-120min )

3) Nampally also called hyderabad Deccan (HYB ~63km ~100-120min) 

4) Secunderabad railway station (SC ~69km 120-140min) the biggest of all stations with 10 platforms but some are under renovation 

5) Cherlapally CHZ ~87km  ~125-145min (newly upgraded to 9 platforms.. mmany trains r likely to come here in near future)


Those who r coming by bus: 

1) Miyapur / BHEL bus stop (43KM. Get down preferably at miyapur cross road or second choice miyapur metro)  

2) Jubilee Bus station (JBS) ~68km (those coming from secunderabad railway station will pass through this while coming to IITH) 

3) Mahatama Gandhi bus stand (mgbs)/ also called Imlibun busstand ~66km (those who get down here will be passing through Hyderabad Deccan railway station to come to IITH)


Airport (~72km ~80-110min)

The travel time is mentioned based on typical traffic during 07:30-23:30

There will be congestion outside the railway stations (other than shankarpally/ Cherlapally) & bus stand and so bus cannot be parked for long time there in waiting!

Without disturbing the scheduled events of spicmacay.. we can just keep some displays along the walking paths/ other common areas creating awareness about 
 facilities that iit provides for students & faculty including internships/ what various departments r doing /

If higher authorities agree, we can have a *openday* kind of thing for those who r departing on the next day.

 If iith authorities can take a decision to host  the *interested ppl* for 1 additional day to learn more about iit / visit to TIHAN & research park/ departments it Will be great.

Atleast we should able to show 1-2 minute vedios about how iit is contributing to the society during the small gaps in spicmacay prog

Awareness about swayam.gov.in NPTEL.ac.in arvindguptatoys.com etc can b done by prominently displaying them in hostel entrance in big size with heading as 'useful links'

Assignment to gain eligibility to industry visit

నిజమైన ఆసక్తి ఉన్నవారిని ఎంపిక చేయడానికి...it is mandatory to submit one or more assignments by email before  18-11-23 21:00.  Those candidates who submit the assignment will be preferred for the industry visit.
