Reforms in pvt engg colleges

నమస్కారము.. ప్రైవేటు ఇంజనీరింగ్ కాలేజీల్లో చాలా వరకు heard that in many pvt engg colleges 3 credit courses is allotted 5classes per week in time table. This kind of over teaching is not helping in achieving good results! Managements should come out of the mindset of forcefully extracting work from faculty. I think roughly as per jntu syllabus u need 22 classes per week(theory subjects & practical). Additionally 2 continuous periods for library 2  for games is ok. This there r 26 periods. For extra activities to pursue hobbies like robotics, classical music, karate, drawing, crafts/ group discussions, gardening, conducting workshops(/ industrial visits) 9 more periods can be allocated=> 35 periods. Assuming 7 periods per day we need 5days and not 6days.  more days of working ..more periods of teaching( probably trying to dump info without giving time for thinking) can be avoided. I request the managements   to seriously ponder over this and make reforms. Let the faculty get time to prepare well for the classes and teach more effectively without pressure. A teacher will be preparing at home for taking next class  & making  notes at home also while the college managements think they r paying handsome amounts!! I don't think any college is paying for this 'home work' time by faculty. In companies it is just 8hr/ day.

Faculty will then get time to do some research work as well. If the faculty r given freedom / breathing time like this, quality content gets delivered happily and is beneficial to the college in many ways. Then they won't even have to take leave for 'home related works'.  ధన్యవాదములు
