Requirement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for SERB Sponsored Project 03/01/2023

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow at a fixed Fellowship amount of Rs. 31000/- per month for the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored Project entitled "Closed Loop Control for Parabolic type Problems: Theory and Computation" sanctioned for 02 years (with Date of Starting: 28/12/2022). The post is purely temporary and co-terminus of the project. The candidates should possess Essential qualifications.

The upper Age Limit is 28 years. (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/ Divyang/Female candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Essential qualifications:

1. M.Sc. with 55% Marks in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics or equivalent.

2. Qualified National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or valid GATE score

Desirable Skill:

1. Control theory, Partial Differential Equations, Finite Element Method

2. Acquainted with Programming languages including C, Python, MATLAB

Salient Points:

1. The Project duration: 2 years

2. Hostel accommodation will be provided on the payment of applicable charges.

3. Based on satisfactory performance, the selected candidate may be given a chance to apply for the Institute's Ph.D. program. However, the candidate needs to go through the Ph.D. Selection Procedure of the Institute

No TA/DA will be paid if called for an interview.
